The parks to visit at a glance

Nairobi national park is a national park in Kenya that was established in 1946 about 7 km (4.3 mi) south of Nairobi. It is fenced on three sides, whereas the open southern boundary allows migrating wildlife to move between the park and the adjacent Kitengela plains. Herbivores gather in the park during the dry season. Nairobi National Park is negatively affected by increasing human and livestock populations, changing land use and poaching of wildlife. Despite its proximity to the city and its relative small size, it boasts a large and varied wildlife population, and is one of Kenya’s most successful rhinoceros sanctuaries

 Masai-Mara is one of the most famous and important wildlife conservation and wilderness areas in Africa, world-renowned for its exceptional populations of lion, African leopard, cheetah and African bush elephant.

Kidepo valley national park (land of the IK and K-jong) Kidepo is a 1,442 square kilometers (557 sq. mi) national park in the Karamoja region in northeast Uganda. Kidepo is rugged savannah, dominated by the 2,750 meters (9,020 ft.) Mount Morungole and transected by the Kidepo and Narus rivers.

                                                                                                           

Pian-upe national park is one of the most remarkable protected areas in the Karamoja sub region, Northeastern Uganda. This large conservation area lies in the Karamoja sub region of northeastern Uganda. It is the second largest conservation protected area in Uganda.

It covers an area of about 2788 square kilometers which makes it the second biggest protected area in the country just after the Murchison Falls National Park in Northwestern Uganda.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from airport and transfer to hotel

Your safari guide in Kenya will pick you up from Jomo-Kenyatta airport and then transfer you to the hotel. On arrival at the hotel the guide will as well give you the entire briefing about your next day’s program and travel plan.

Day 2: Nairobi national park game drive

Morning game drive in Nairobi national park and in this game drive expect to see several animal species like the lions, leopards, African buffalos, black Rhinos, giraffes, hippos, spotted hyenas, blue wildebeest, plains zebra, cheetah, Thomson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, common eland, impala, hartebeest, waterbuck, common warthog, olive baboon, black-backed jackal, common ostrich and so many others.

In the afternoon you will have a chance of visiting the animal orphanage and do some feeding and interactions and spend more time with the animals and do feeding,  You will retire early evening and wait for the next day’s offer.

Day 3: Drive to Masai-mara

You will hot the road early morning and drive to Mara through the rift valley, this drive will take you roughly 6-7 hours with magical views of the Great Rift Valley and beautiful landscapes.

You will have hot lunch at the hotel after checking in, then you will rest enjoy the view of the hotel and will have an evening game drive starting around 4pm.

Day 4: Masai-mara game drive

You will have an early morning game drive after breakfast to catch up with the early raisers much to see including most cats, Rhinos, buffaloes, cheetahs and many more animals according to our chances and natures dictation.

Day 5: Drive back to Nairobi

Wake up early morning and hit the road back to Nairobi, this drive will take you roughly 5-6 hours drive depending on the stopovers had enroot and the traffic encountered on road.

In the evening you will then have your flight to Entebbe where you will find your guide waiting for pick-up and transfer to the hotel for check in.

Day 6: Entebbe botanical experience

You will have enough rest ands relaxation at your hotel and then probably in the evening you shall have the Entebbe botanical garden experience where you will see several types of primates, tree species, plenty birds, and the mystical Tarzan movie shooting center (black and white).

You will have early dinner as you prepare for the next day long hour drive to Kidepo valley national park.

Day 7: Drive to Kidepo N.park. (the land of the IK and Kjong)

Wake up early morning after breakfast then hit the road to the land of IK and Kjong, this day’s drive will take you roughly 9-10 hours.

On arrival at the hotel you will relax and enjoy the sun-set with the magical views the hotel adjacent to the park

Day 8: Game drive

You will have an early game drive and you will have bush lunch and a memorable sundowner with a short nature walk within the park with your guide and ranger for safety.

Day 9: Check out to Pian-Upe

Check out from Kidepo valley national park then have a lovely bush lunch enroute and afternoon game drive in Matheniko game reserve, expect to see plenty of antelopes, ostritches, buffaloes and so much more, You will check in at the hotel early evening and relax.

Day 10 : Game drive in Pain-upe

Check out from the hotel and drive through Pian-Upe national park, you will have a few hour game drive before you check in at the hotel in sipi (the magical land) of hills, cliffs with the gorgeous views of mount Moroto.

Day 11: Sunset boat cruise to the source of the Nile

You will have a lazy breakfast then checkout and head to Jinja the capital of waters where you find the true source of the Nile.

In the evening you will have a sun-set boat cruise with drinks and beverages to the source of the Nile

.

Day 12: Transfer back to Entebbe for your flight.

Lazy breakfast as you fare the well to Entebbe and wait for your flight back home.

The drive to Entebbe is short roughly taking you 2-3 hours with all jam and traffic inclusive.
